Nedcam produces seamless models by using paste-systems. The most applied types of paste in the market are Polyurethane and Epoxy paste. Most materials for model/plug production have limitations in the raw block dimensions. Therefore basic units need to be assembled which creates one or more seams in the final model. Moulds for one-off products
For one-off products direct moulds can be applied. Depending on the final required quality in surface direct moulds can be produced very low cost in MDF or just EPS and for the high end in seamless PU- or EP-paste. Typically machined models and moulds are guaranteed for 1 release, but if handled with care multiple releases are very common.

For many applications EPS is thé utmost material to obtain low cost shaped solutions. The cost is in the rate of 3D curvature, the measures that eventually require internal steel supports and the outer layer that keeps the surface in shape or even prevents hooligan damage. For the outer layer there are a number of solutions like polyurea, polyester/glass, AcrylicOne, etc
