Racing teams try to decrease the friction at the entry of the furlers. This is possible with blocks or friction rings but we found a system to incorporate lateral & vertical sheaves with ball bearings directly on the door. This is now an official option for the smaller furlers such as the KF1.5 Large, KF3.0, KF3.0 Large and KF4.5. A must have if you race on Beneteau Figaro 3 or TF35

The KRO is an open friction ring. We have designed them to help our clients to align their furling line in the furler. Because a furler is made for flying sails it was important to find a way to install or remove quickly the line. It seems that our clients have finally used these KRO open rings for many others applications such as furling line stanchion guides, barber hauler, lazzy bag, etc..

Always looking to improve performance, Karver systems has developped the new KFH system which combines in one unit the swivel and the lock.
The halyard lock reduces the compression in the mast, the stretch in the halyard and its weight. This patented product locks and unlocks using the halyard.
They can be found on most of the IMOCA 60 competing in the new Vendee Globe, have been used by Groupama winning Volvo Ocean Race entry as well as many superyachts.
